YouthCanvas 청소년 예술·문학 공모전

○ 공모개요

   - Nova Canvas는 한국의 대표 예술 플랫폼 Vibes and Vistas (VNV)와 파트너십을 맺고 새로운 YouthCanvas 미술·글쓰기 공모전을 개최합니다.

     연 2회 열리는 이 공모전을 통해 젊은 창작자들은 의미 있는 주제를 탐구하고 권위 있는 심사위원단 앞에서 자신의 작품을 선보일 수 있습니다.

     수상작은 디지털 전시에 소개되고, 멘토링 기회와 함께 권위 있는 Vibes and Vistas Winners Catalogue에 게재되어

     수상자들의 포트폴리오를 풍부하게 하고 전문적 신뢰도를 높이며 글로벌 진출의 발판을 마련해줍니다.

     In partnership with leading Korean art platform Vibes and Vistas (VNV), Nova Canvas presents the new YouthCanvas art and writing contest.

     Held twice per year, the contest enables young creatives to explore meaningful themes and present their work to an esteemed panel of judges.

     Prizes include digital exhibition features, mentorship, and publication in the esteemed Vibes and Vistas Winners Catalogue,

     enabling winners to enhance their portfolios, boost professional credibility, and achieve global reach.

○ 공모주제

   - August Round 2025

     “나에게 소중한 것…”

     여러분 삶에서 진정으로 의미 있는 것을 창의적으로 표현해보세요.

     개인의 가치관, 문화적 뿌리, 인간관계, 꿈, 사회적 이슈 등—진심 어린 창작을 통해 여러분만의 이야기를 들려주세요.

     “What matters to me…”

     We invite you to express that which truly holds meaning in your lives. Whether it’s personal values,

     cultural roots, relationships, dreams, or social issues, create authentically and leave your mark.

○ 주제 가이드라인

     다음의 다섯 가지 질문이 여러분의 창작에 영감을 줄 수 있기를 바랍니다:

   - 나의 정체성: 내가 자라온 배경, 문화적 뿌리, 혹은 독특한 삶의 경험이 나와 나의 창작에 어떤 영향을 주었는지 표현해보세요.

   - 감정과 관계: 사랑, 우정, 가족, 또는 개인적인 도전을 예술을 통해 담아보세요.

   - 문화적 연결: 해외든 국내든, 다양한 문화적 경험이 나의 관점과 예술 세계에 어떤 영향을 주었는지를 탐구해보세요.

   - 글로벌 및 사회 문제: 환경, 정의, 평등 등, 당신이 중요하게 생각하는 사회적 주제에 대한 목소리를 작품으로 전해주세요.

   - 꿈과 미래: 미래에 대한 희망과 목표를 표현하고, 자신이 꿈꾸는 예술가로서의 모습과 세상에서의 자리를 그려보세요.

     Allow the following 5 prompts to inspire you:

   - Personal Identity: Explore how your background, heritage, or unique life experiences shape who you are and what you create.

   - Emotions & Relationships: Use art to capture the essence of love, friendship, family, or personal challenges that have touched your journey.

   - Cultural Connections: Consider how your identity, whether experienced at home or abroad, has influenced your perspective and artistic vision.

   - Global & Social Issues: Share your voice on topics that resonate with you, from environmental concerns to justice, equality, and the world you want to see.

   - Dreams & Aspirations: Bring your hopes for the future to life, showcasing how you envision yourself, your art, and your place in the world.

○ 공모부문

   1. 시각 예술 부문 (ART-BASED ENTRIES)

   - 드로잉 & 페인팅

   - 3D 아트 (Ceramics 포함)

   - 그래픽 디자인

   - 패션 및 의상 디자인

   - 5분 이내의 단편 영화

   **각 작품에는 다음 내용을 담은 작품 설명글(150단어 내외)을 반드시 첨부해야 합니다:

   - 이 작품을 만들게 된 계기나 영감

   - 공모전 주제와의 연관성

   - 사용한 재료 및 제작 과정

   - 이 작품을 통해 전달하고 싶은 메시지

   2. 글쓰기 부문 (WRITING-BASED ENTRIES)

   - 시나리오 (3,000단어 이하)

   - 희곡 (3,000단어 이하)

   - 단편소설 (2,500단어 이하)

   - 수필 (800단어 이하)

   **모든 글쓰기 작품에는 250단어 내외의 줄거리 요약을 포함해야 합니다.

   1. ART-BASED ENTRIES

   - Drawing & Painting

   - 3D Art (including Ceramics)

   - Graphic Design

   - Fashion & Costume Design

   - 5-min Film

  ** Must include an artwork description (150 words) that answers the following:

   - What inspired your piece?

   - How does your piece relate to the contest theme?

   - Describe your material choices and your creative practice.

   - What message(s) do you hope to deliver to your audience?

   2. WRITING-BASED ENTRIES

   - Screenwriting (3000 words or less)

   - Playwriting (3000 words or less)

   - Short Stories (2500 words or less)

   - Narrative Essays (800 words or less)

   **Must include a summary of the text (250 words)

○ 공모 일정

   - 접수 기간: 2025년 8월 1일 ~ 8월 31일 까지

   - 심사 기간: 2025년 9월 1일 ~ 2025년 9월 30일

   - 발표: 2025년 10월 1일

   - Submission Period: August 1, 2025 ~ August 31, 2025

   - Judging Period: September 1, 2025 ~ September 30, 2025

   - Results Announcement: October 1, 2025

○ 참가 자격

   - 그룹1: 만 14세 이하의 학생

   - 그룹2: 만 15세에서 19세 사이의 학생

   **국내외 중학생 및 고등학생이라면 누구나 참가할 수 있습니다.

   - Tier I: A student with Korean nationality who is under the age of 14

   - Tier II: A student with Korean nationality who is between the ages of 15 19

     Students from middle school to high school, both domestic international are eligible to enter the contest

○ 접수방법

   - 공식 웹사이트를 통해 업로드

     Submission Method: Fill out the application form and upload your entry via the official contest page

○ 출품규격

   - 시각 예술 작품: 고해상도 JPEG 또는 PNG 파일

   - 영상 작품: YouTube 링크로 제출

   - 모든 글 및 설명자료: PDF 형식

   - 제출 방법: 공식 웹사이트의 신청서를 작성하고 작품 파일을 업로드

   - Art: High-resolution JPEG or PNG

   - Film: Submit YouTube link

   - All written material & descriptions: PDF only

   - Submission Method: Fill out the application form and upload your entry via the official contest page

○ 참가비용

   - 작품 1점당 **200,000원(KRW)**의 참가비가 있으며, 납부된 참가비는 환불되지 않습니다.

     참가비 납부가 수상, 결선 진출, 혹은 어떠한 상의 수상을 보장하지는 않습니다.

     Each contest submission requires a non-refundable entry fee of 200,000 KRW.

     Payment of the entry fee does not guarantee ion as a winner, finalist, or recipient of any prize.

   - 온라인 전시관 등재:

     수상작은 Vibes and Vistas 공식 웹사이트 내 YouthCanvas Winners Showcase 전시관에 전시됩니다.

   - 멘토링 기회 제공: 금상 수상자에게는 대회 주최 측의 교육 관련 조언과 더불어, 심사위원진으로부터 창작 및 예술 산업 관련 멘토링이 제공됩니다.

   - Gold: 2 recipients

   - Silver: 3 recipients

   - Bronze: 4 recipients

   - Runners-up: 5 recipients

   - Honorable Mentions: 10 recipients

     Additional prizes include:

   - Official publication in the prestigious YouthCanvas Winners Catalogue. Published on the Vibes and Vistas platform

     and distributed to major art and cultural institutions in Korea and around the world, a spot in our catalog serves

     as a unique networking opportunity and means of professional development.

   - Permanent placement in the YouthCanvas Winners Showcase, an online exhibition featured on the Vibes and Vistas website.

   - Gold Winners will receive exclusive guidance regarding educational prospects from the contest organizers,

     along with creative industry mentorship from contest judges.
